Customer Reviews:
Worth the Wait
This was so worth the wait for Acheron's story. Sherrilyn Kenyon released a book that is two books in one and I couldn't put it down until it was finished. Definately buy it, read it and then you will find yourself reading it again its so good! So stop reading this review and go get the book!
He's suffered, we get it already! *spoilers*
Sherrilyn Kenyon really needs to get some new material. All of her books follow the same pattern.
The hero is a tortured soul who was horribly betrayed by his mother/father/brother/wife/lover/best friend/random stranger/all of the above which caused his death.
He is incredibly handsome. And rich.
He doesn't trust anyone but his Dark Hunter/Dream Hunter/Were Hunter buddies, and sometimes not even them.
He loves sex but doesn't trust women. He's suspicious of anyone who so much as hands him a kleenex.
Enter the quirky/perky woman who is inordinantly interested in the hero's time period and knows all about his mythology, even though no one else knows about it (unless it's a woman for another Dark-hunter/Dream-Hunter/Were-Hunter).
She's not your Barbie cliche pretty, she's a little chubby/very tall/has scars/dresses like a biker chick/hunts vampires. Oh and she has very strange friends.
There in a nutshell there's every single Sherrilyn Kenyon book.

Now onto ACHERON. Who's the most tortured of the tortured hero's *ever* in fact more than half the book is dedicated to explain just how bad poor Ash had it. The bad guys Ash's "family" hate his guts with poorly explained vigor. In fact the only person who we're not *told* to hate is his sister and her son. This goes on for several hundred pages of pure drek. Blah, blah, blah oh guess what Ashy-boy your a God and your mom is super crazy and can destroy the world! Happy birthday! Here's a demon.
Ash is looking for love for a hundred or so more pages, he doesn't get it, he's horrible betrayed by his (hold the gasp) family and lover (but not the sister). Colour me surprised. Or not. His mom goes on a rampage killing thousands of innocent people without actually killing the people responsible, heh.
Modern day:
The woman knows more about his time period than anyone else whoo...wait that's like every other book.
So spurned lover wants to kill the girl. Spurned would-be lover wants to kill him. Mom wants to kill everyone who even gives her son a dirty look.
Ash is embarrassed by his past. Is very confused when shown kindness.
Forget falling in love, the boy just needed a good psychiatrist.
Oh and if you didn't figure it out they lived happily ever after.
