Great!

I loved the rest of the series, and this was the best so far I think!
It had me laughing out loud, and excited to turn every page. I couldn't put it down.

All Kinsealla's books are first class

|
I feel in love with this book because it was so real and set in Manhattan. As with all SHOPAHOLIC series, this one is every bit as good. If you liked the novels THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA and the funny THE WOMAN WHO CUT OFF HER LEG, then you'll like this book as well. Kinsella knows how to write and her characters are real and at the same time "out there."

Fabulous! Keep up the good work Kinsella!

I first fell in love with the author and her colorful characters in Shopaholic in Manhattan. Once I heard that Shopaholic and Baby would soon be gracing our book shelves, I immediately ran out and bought the book once it became available at book stores. Normally, I would wait until it comes out on soft cover but not a minute could be spared. I read this book day and night, religiously, and was thoroughly engrossed with Becky and Luke and the psycho obstetrician! I was once at the airport reading this book, and couldnt stop smiling and laughing to myself. I really hope she comes out with another book, I am tempted to read this again. My sister is waiting to read this book, impatiently! Kinsella has a tremendous gift for humor, and her characters feel real and accessible and are nothing short of entertaining, generous and multi-faceted. Im going to go and buy Shopaholic and sister.... I cant get enough of Becky and her funny antics!

Great chick lit with a baby theme!

I absolutely LOVED all the other Shopaholic books and Becky does it again--this time with a baby on board! She goes from one mishap to another, barely skating by but coming across as lovable and hilarous! If you love shopping and humor, then get this book! I do believe it's one of the better shopaholic books. I recommend it without hesitancy, along with any other Sophie Kinsella book. I also liked, as far as chick lit goes, "Heartbreaker"--Kim Corum, and would recommend it too.

This book is a sequal to Kinsella's SHOPAHOLIC & SISTER, which I read and loved. Some may take offense at first to the author's airheaded protagonist, Becky Bloomwood, but if you read on, you'll see that there's a lot more to her than initially meets the eye. In this book, Becky is now married and expecting (duh, reason for the title . . .)She's also working for a London store, as a buyer. The plot is basically this: Becky wants her child to be THE fashionable one and decides to give the baby only the best, from clothes to doctors. This book is really part thirller (though not in the Tom Clancy sense) and part humor (think THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA). If you liked the books THE UNDOMESTIC GODDESS and KATZENJAMMER by McCrae, then you'll like SHOPAHOLIC & BABY.
